Spanish Immersion Pre-K & Spanish/English Kindergarten

Crossing Borders offers Spanish Immersion Toddler and Pre-K as well as Dual-Language Kindergarten through our Academy program.  The Crossing Borders Academies use research proven techniques, experienced teachers with dynamic curriculum and instruction to jumpstart your child’s academic career.  At Crossing Borders Academy learner-centered instruction is combined with Spanish immersion and dual-language methodologies to give your child a world-class education.

Spanish Immersion for Toddlers and Pre-K is an ideal setting for any parent wanting to develop their child’s second language in an effortless and natural way.  Our Toddler and Pre-K students follow a challenging and engaging preschool curriculum.  Our highly experienced and native Spanish-speaking teachers present all instruction in Spanish with minimal English support.  Our program is effective for English speaking children whose parents want to develop second language skills, or for Spanish speaking children whose parents want them to learn academic Spanish.

Dual-language is the world’s standard for educating our future leaders. The CBA program is engaging and accessible to both native English and Spanish speakers.  Our students are held to the highest academic standards while developing their linguistic abilities.  Students who participate in dual language and immersion education programs receive the same curriculum and instruction presented in typical private early childhood education programs, but with the added outcome of bilingualism and multicultural awareness.

Crossing Borders Academy strives to instill in our students a love of learning, a passion for language and an internalization of our multicultural society.  As the world changes, all the while getting “smaller”, we are challenged to embrace this newfound community.  Crossing Borders Academy prepares students to be dynamic, successful members of the global community.

Crossing Borders Academy is dedicated to multi-lingual education.  While bilingualism is an overall goal of the CBA programs, it may not be the greatest outcome.  Children who are educated in more than one language show higher cognitive abilities, with a greater understanding of complex concepts and the ability to more easily link ideas.

Holy Trinity already offers its student a world-class preparatory education, preparing them for success at the university level and beyond.  So, it is a natural step that Crossing Borders and HTES would want to partner in order to provide this new and unique program to our students.

During this first year CBA plans to offer Spanish Immersion for a Toddler and Pre-K program, as well as a Spanish/English Dual-Language program for Kindergarten students.  These programs would form the base of a Spanish language program with the long-term goal of providing students with an elementary International Baccalaureate. Based on the Spanish program’s success, CBA has hopes to expand the academy to include Mandarin and French language programs as well.

Crossing Borders is excited to be working with Holy Trinity Episcopal School to offer these exciting new programs.  Crossing Borders is also offering a Spanish summer camp in association with HTES and the YMCA.  Our Spanish summer camp provides students an excellent opportunity to develop basic Spanish conversation skills in a fun and friendly environment.  CB looks forward to working with Holy Trinity and becoming a part of this great school and learning family.

Students interested in the Crossing Borders Academy must be full-time Holy Trinity students.  Applicants are required to undergo the HTES enrollment and application process.  Once accepted to Holy Trinity, students are then given the opportunity to enroll in the CBA program.  All Holy Trinity tuition and fees apply, CBA students pay additional program tuition and fees.

Crossing Borders Academy Tuition and Fees 2010-2011 – All Levels

*The development fee is a one-time non-refundable payment, which is used for capital and curriculum improvements/investments

Due to the fact that this program is still in development, tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.

Crossing Borders Academy tuition and fees can be paid all at once, or in two payments due at the start of each term.  Parents choosing to split payments will be charged a 5% finance fee.
